  • (*) The US date is based on the airdates for WTEV, which was the first US station to screen the initial package of 98 Tom Baker episodes.
  • This story was dubbed into Spanish (for Latin America); French; Catalan, Galician and Spanish (for Spain); and Japanese; and subtitled in Swedish.
  • A number of the countries that screened The Sontaran Experiment and Revenge of the Cybermen did not screen Genesis of the Daleks. There could be any number of reasons why this would be the case, such as: censorship, or it was too hard to dub the Dalek voices satisfactorily, or there were rights issues with Terry Nation and his agent which excluded the serial from being sold by the BBC...
  • This story was often shown after Revenge of the Cybermen, the stories being screened in production code order.

  • The story was reissued in the mid-1980s, during the THIRD WAVE of sales.

  • (*) The screening in Taiwan was as a four-parter (and subtitled in Chinese). (But it's possible this was actually a listing printing mix up and what was actually screened was Destiny of the Daleks.)
  • The story was released on DVD in the Netherlands in the mid-2000s.
  • A subtitled DVD was also issued in Brazil in 2016.
  • To mark the release of the Season 12 Blu-ray set, the edited down 86-minute omnibus that had aired in 1975 was shown in select cinemas in the US on 11 June 2018, and later at Cineplex cinemas in Canada on 14 June 2018. Advertisements for this - which had both English and French variants - billed it as "The Director's Cut".
