MOZAMBIQUE is a former-Portuguese colony in southern Africa.

Doctor Who was not available on any local stations.

From 1999, BBC Prime was available on Canal 19 in the Mozambique capital, Maputo. It's not known if Doctor Who was seen on the southern Africa feed as that had a different schedule to BBC Prime's European and Northern African feeds which did carry the series.

The Paul McGann TV Movie was shown several times on the South African-based satellite station Sci-Fi Channel Southern Africa during 2002 and 2003; this satellite station was available on Canal 21 in Maputo.

Although Portuguese is the principal language of Mozambique, programmes on SCIFISA were not subtitled or dubbed.
