*According to a post on a Doctor Who forum in 2018, WTVQ did screen the series, weekday afternoons as direct competition to The Adventures of Superman which was playing on one of the other local stations. The poster recalls seeing Robot, The Ark in Space, Genesis of the Daleks, and Terror of the Zygons. Within 6 to 9 months, it was moved into a late-night timeslot, and was later dropped; WTVQ never repeated the episodes or picked up any subsequent seasons. <!-- Link to FORUM post: http://www.zetaminor.com/roobarb/showthread.php?52540-DW-The-Collection-Season-12-(Blu-ray)&p=2353824&viewfull=1#post2353824 -->

WTVQ

Channel 62 (ABC) (Channel number changed to 36 in 1980)

 • 1978?: According to an early edit of Wikipedia, WTVQ was one of the first stations to broadcast the Tom Baker stories (it was an ABC affiliate). But the state is not listed in the August 1978 issue of Variety (See United States--1978), and we have not found any airdates in late 1978 / early 1979. Tellingly, the reference to WTVQ has since been removed from the wikipedia section.
 • 1980: It is reported in Starlog issue # 39 (cover dated October 1980) that the series had been sold to "WTVQ, Lexington, Indiana" (although WTVQ is actually a Kentucky station), however we have not been able to find any listings for that year either!
 • According to a post on a Doctor Who forum in 2018, WTVQ did screen the series, weekday afternoons as direct competition to The Adventures of Superman which was playing on one of the other local stations.
