  • 15 September 1972: The 13 story / 72 episode package of Jon Pertwee stories begins airing. A post in rec.arts.dr.who mentions an airing of The Ambassadors of Death in December 1972.
    • Apparently some of these early 1972 broadcasts had an added voice-over playing during the opening credits, declaring "Doctor Who - Master of Time and Space"!
  • 14 July 1974: A three story run begins, Sundays at 8am.
  • 6 July 1975: The series returns again, Sundays at 10am.
  • 23 May 1976: The run ends after 72 airings.
