It was hosted by the Brummie-accented faceless "Anorak", and featured lots of clips, including rare silent footage from The Daleks' Master Plan that was discovered during the research phase of the production.

The short aired on several PBS stations in the United States (such as on KUED, on 22 August 1992; KTEH, 26 August 1992; WKPC, 1 September 1992; Maryland Public Television on 5 December 1992; Iowa Public Television, 7 May 1993; WQEX, on 29 October 2000, plus many many others in the 1990s and 2000s).

Some of the US newspapers incorrectly described it as being an interview with Dalek creator Terry Nation, who did not even appear!

It also aired in New Zealand, on 26 December 1993, also followed by the special repeat of The Time Meddler.
