Doctor Who aired on British Satellite Broadcasting (BSB)'s Galaxy channel, from 1 April to 1 December, 1990.

A special Doctor Who Weekend aired 22-23 September, 1990, presented in part by John Nathan-Turner, and featuring in-studio interviews with Sylvester McCoy, Carole Ann Ford, Elisabeth Sladen, Peter Purves, Wendy Padbury, Terrance Dicks, Bob Baker & Dave Martin, Barry Newbery, Raymond Cusick, Pat Godfrey, Peter Hawkins, Mervyn Haisman, Nicholas Courtney, William Russell, John Freeman (of DWM) and Waris Hussein.

In late 1990, BSB merged with SKY, and rebranded as BSkyB. As a result, the December 1990 schedule of Doctor Who episodes was brought to a sudden end, midway through The Daleks.
