Television Stations / Channels

Botswana did not commence a television service until 1992.

There is just one local television provider, Gaborone Television Corp / Botswana TV. Prior to the establishment of this service, those with television sets could receive transmissions from the north of South Africa, and presumably other neighbouring countries.

By the mid-1990s, Botswana was also served by several foreign broadcasters via satellite.

Language/s

The principal language is English.

DOCTOR WHO IN BOTSWANA

BBC Records

Botswana is not named in any of the main BBC Records we have referenced.

PETER DAVISON?

According to Janet Fielding (who played Tegan Jovanka), she has received royalties for sales to Botswana. Presumably these were for Peter Davison stories, rather than her solo adventure with Tom Baker.

TV listings

We do not have any details regarding what screened and when.
