- 11 March 1991: BBC World Service Television launches. Different areas of the world receive different programming.
- May 1993: Doctor Who airs Sundays, 6:15-6:45pm.
- January 1994: Doctor Who airs Mondays, 5:35-6:00pm.
- 26 January 1995: The channel splits into BBC World and BBC Prime (see our dedicated page to that channel).
