- 11 June 1979: The Tom Baker stories begin airing, complete serials every weeknight.
- 27 August 1979: After four weeks off, the series movies to a half hour time slot.
- 6 July 1981: The series returns after a year-long break, now daily at 10:00pm.
- 6 August 1982: After ten months off the air, the Tom Baker stories begin again. Entire stories are aired each Friday night at 10:30.
- 11 November 1983: Wednesday night airings are added. After seven weeks the Friday airings are stopped.
- 23 November 1983: The Five Doctors airs.
- Spring 1987: Jon Pertwee stories air.
- 25 May 1990: The station considered Doctor Who to be too costly; presumably it was dropped as a result.
