- 16 October 1986: Doctor Who premieres with The Five Doctors. It is WQEX's first day of broadcasting in color.
- 17 October 1986: The Tom Baker stories begin, weeknights at 7:30 and compilations Sunday nights at 5:30.
- 1987: Screened the 17 repackaged William Hartnell stories.
- 1987: Screened the 24 repackaged Jon Pertwee stories.
- 17 May 1988: Sylvester McCoy stories debuts.
- 18 July 1998: WQED begins simulcasting WQEX's broadcasts.
- 21 October 2000: A special pledge drive night with Sylvester McCoy in studio. The event was taped for later rebroadcast in other PBS markets.
