Although the regular series was not shown on any local terrestrial TV channels in LUXEMBOURG, it was available through other means.

DALEK MOVIES

Poster with French and Dutch titles

PETER CUSHING

As far as we can tell, only the second of the two Peter Cushing Dalek movies was shown in cinemas in Luxembourg in the late 1960s, under the usual French title "Les Daleks Envahissent la Terre".

The poster here was printed in Belgium, and since it also displays the Dutch title, it was likely designed specifically for use by the Benelux countries: Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Dalek Invasion Earth 2150 AD; 18 May 1990

On 18 May 1990, the movie was shown at 11.10pm on the local TV station RTL. (The French-owned distribution company StudioCanal (founded in 1988) had purchased the ownership rights to 'British Lion Films' back-catalogue, which included the two Cushing Dalek movies.)

TV Series

On TV, viewers could watch Doctor Who by tuning into cable or terrestrial transmissions from neighbouring countries Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Germany.

From 24 March 1987, the series was available to view on the UK satellite station Super Channel, and in the mid-1990s on BBC Prime.

PAUL McGANN

The TV Movie was shown on RTL9 (the local channel's new name) on Saturday, 27 February 1999 at 10.40pm. This screening was also available in the other parts of Europe that were part of the RTL network.
