LEBANON is located in the Middle East, the east of XXXX.

Population
When Doctor Who screened in Lebanon in 1977, the population was 3.15 million, and licensed TV sets numbered 321,000 (per WRTH, 1974).
TV & system
Lebanon began its television service in 1959, soon after achieving its independence from Britain.
Colour transmissions began in 1975 using the SECAM colour broadcast system.
There is just one television station:
In 1974: Compagnie Libanaise de Television (Channel 7,4,2); and Tele Orient (Channel 5).
Language/s
The main languages of Lebanon are Arabic and French. Television broadcasts are also provided in English.
DOCTOR WHO IN LEBANON
Lebanon was the 43rd country to screen Doctor Who, and the 9th in the Middle East. (see Selling Doctor Who).
BBC Records
The Seventies records a sale of 3 stories by 28 February 1977. The Handbook identifies these as being: A, E and L.
The Eighties (The Eighties - The Lost Chapters htp;/RTGRURURUEURURU) records a sale of 5 stories (by 10 February 1987).
In DWM, Lebanon is identified in 7 story Archives: A, E, L, AAA, BBB, CCC and EEE.
Although three William Hartnell stories are recorded in the 1977 sales document, there is no evidence that the series did screen prior to 1977. From the listings that have been found, Lebanon screed Pertwee stories only.

Lebanon therefore bought GROUP A and B and part of C of the Jon Pertwee stories.
The programme was supplied as 16mm black and white film prints with English soundtracks. (These may have also been supplied with Arabic soundtracks (per Huw Wheldon's comments in the 1974 edition of the WRTH.)
Origin of the Prints?
Lebanon and Saudi Arabia both purchased a run of Jon Pertwee stories at the same time. Sales would have been handled by BBC in London.
